Nice. You had mentioned in previous builds using a combination of delphic and herald antiproton beams/weapons. Is this an option or is using straight herald antiproton weaponry alongside the Terran weapon optimal?

    • Hellspawny  says:

I’d use a delphic omni instead of the herald in the rear.

      • whicky1978  says:

Is it possible to equip 3 AP omni’s now 😬?

        • felisean  says:

          no

        • Hellspawny  says:

Ofc not. One crafted / Lockbox and one from missions / with set bonus. Plus KCB.

          • whicky1978  says:

Gotha, Sometimes I use the tetryon omni with the AP omnies to get buff from disentanglement suite console. It fires faster and will strip sheilds but no signifant loss or gain with replacing KCB. I mixed two beam types and fhe world did not end 😅

            • whicky1978  says:

You could have to AP omni’s and KCB and Tetryon omni with two piece set if you have the room.

    • felisean  says:

mixing them is an option too yes 🙂

  • Vurilla  says:

Just wondering why no polymorphic probe array, or crystalline absorption matrix on the acheros. I’m still a noob to be fair and trying to understand builds.

    • whicky1978  says:

You coul use those but I think the consuls they are using give them more DPS. I like using the Crystaline Absorption Matrix but I’m on a quasi budget. build. Some of the consoles only come me from C-store ships.

      • Hyunmoo Sirius  says:

For me, I use Dynamic Power Redistributor, Auxiliary Ejection Assembly, Broadside Emitter Arrays, Plasmonic Leech and Disruption Pulse Emitter. (on my Kelvin Connie)

2pc Bonus of Synergistic Retrofitting grants +33% cat1 dmg bonus to Phaser, Disruptor and Plasma damage for Phaser/Disruptor/Plasma dmg-dealing directed energy weapons.
2pc Bonus of Alternate Timeline grants +25% cat1 dmg bonus to Phaser energy dmg weapon and Photon torps. (May be very useful with Gravimetric Photon Torpedo and Kelvin Timeline Photon Torpedo)

However for Antiproton, You can consider use of Polymorphic Probe Array since it gives +25% cat1 dmg bonus to Antiproton Damage. 😉

The missing weapon is Trilithium-Enhanced Phaser Beam Array. Although it does not deal Antiproton damage, it grants 2.5% chance to +10% Firing Cycle Haste for all energy weapons, for 15 sec.
The missing console is Reinforced Armaments; increasing +EPS and Hull Capacity.
2pc Bonus of Trilithium-Laced Weaponry grants another +5% Firing Cycle Haste for all energy weapons as well as +15 Flight Speed, making your starship more speedy to advance.

        😉

    • felisean  says:

basically they are a choice, but the other consoles are stronger bc they dont buff just one type of energy weapon but them all and exotic stuff too 🙂

  • Vurilla  says:

Cheers guys, don’t think I’ll ever stop learning about this game ha 😊

  • Vurilla  says:

Ah also my bad for not realising the locators are plus Beam. I’m close to getting the Terran Beam array, guess that’s given me loads to think about

    • whicky1978  says:

They can also be +AP ( or the energy type yout prefer) One time I accidentally bought one for a photon torpedo. 😡. I use to be the exploiters when i did not know better so some of my toons have both.

  • wuascht  says:

The DHCs are better now then the DCs? havent used my cannons since season 12.

  • wuascht  says:

ambassy consoles again? did i miss something?

    • felisean  says:

exotic particle focuser consoles from research lab 😉

  • wuascht  says:

are DHC or Dual cannans better in S14?

    • Hellspawny  says:

Better than beams? Only in special situations and definetely not in ISA.

  • wuascht  says:

just talking about dps on cannon types, DHC or DC

    • Hellspawny  says:

DHCs. Higher damage per shot. Targets die pretty fast and every hit counts. Since Season 13 procs are calculated per cycle and not per shot, so DCs lost their advantage in that category.

  • whicky1978  says:

I have found previously that DHC’s are too slow in firing on small craft vs small craft. But it’s been a while since I’ve tried it on small craft.

  • wuascht  says:

    thx

    • whicky1978  says:

Small craft is a little off topic 😆

  • wuascht  says:

all the builds show up with herald weaps now, that proc works better than all the disruptor set bonuses on a pure disruptor build with nausican set etc.?

    • felisean  says:

Disruptor builds work too, like we published with the sheshar dread. So its totaly up to you 🙂

  • wuascht  says:

how much is the dps output on the exotic/torp buid? any numbers?

    • felisean  says:

the highest value we saw from an exotic/torp build was around 200k dps from eli. He published his build here too some time ago.

  • wuascht  says:

NICE, like my disruptors much more than the herald weaps, 200k lol, pretty high

  • whicky1978  says:

I know FBP is weaker but EPG still makes for nice min/max build and I am going back to whats worked best for me before. I do use it with the ship trait too. Some people are getting higer dps with EPG than I am getting total.

  • wuascht  says:

which one is the best experimental weapon/railgun?

  • Hadrian  says:

    Hi,
in the notes is written: “All combinations of crtd/dmg/pen (if crafted) are viable”. Why only the crafted? What is wrong with the Advanced Fleet Weapons?

    • felisean  says:

Only crafted weapons could have pen. for all other weapons crtd/dmg mods

      • whicky1978  says:

I have a toon with CritHx2 Mk XIV romulan plasma beam arrays and DBB. Would I get better DPS with exploiters or locaters tac consoles? I have high crit chance but but not be hitting hard as indicated by CLR and I dont want to start over with new beams. 🤔

        • whicky1978  says:

          Any opinions on this?

        • whicky1978  says:

If I did it really right exploiters fair better. I could not find Romulan plasma and I used CritHx 3 and could not find CritH x 2 but The dont think engergy type matters. Also I used Open Office so it may not look right. Dont’t know if i want to pay for MS office right now.

          • Hellspawny  says:

CrtH is probably the worst classic modifier a weapon can have (Acc has it’s use in PvP and for cannons). Anyway, the bonus from Exploiters is almost half of what a Locator adds to a basic beam boat.

            • whicky1978  says:

Yeah what sad is I think I new better at the time but got it backwards. That was also before I broke 10k by chance and learned about you guys 😉.

  • Hadrian  says:

Ah ok, i misunderstood the sentence.
    Thanks for the fast answer.

  • Hyunmoo Sirius  says:

Sometimes there was a Healer build on Acheros, where is it now ?

    • felisean  says:

spawny said he’s working on it 🙂

    • Hellspawny  says:

The former build was too PvP-centric and the owner asked us to redact it. I just posted mine.

      • Weaselone  says:

The build you have posted has 2 x Quantum Beam Arrays and 2 x Advanced Piezo-Polaron Beam Arrays

        • Hellspawny  says:

That was the wrong link. Fixed.

      • Hyunmoo Sirius  says:

Ah, too PvP-centric. I see it. I have a healer pvp(as well as pve) build with my Ryn’kodan, benchmarked from sto-league site. And it works well although there is slight difference between mine and this, such as that I use full Sol Defense set. 😉

  • weaselone  says:

I’m a bit curious as to the ground build used with the healing character? Is it set up as a DPS engineer, or is the ground build also focused on healing?

    • felisean  says:

since all kit modules scale with the same skill (kitperformance) it doesnt matter 😉

Mostly the more offensive ones are benefical over lets say additional health or additional resistance (especially resistance is useless bc you already have a LOT of it on the armor itself). Other effects like the ground regeneration are disabled (based on the tooltip) during fight so they are usless too. at the end, top left 6 points bottom right 4 points is the way to go 😉
