Hello everyone,
here is our suggestion for one of the best looking ships in the game in a finaly really useful version 🙂
Skilltree:
Boffs:
For Beam Overload:
For Fire at Will:
For Fire at Will + Torpedo:
Doffs (for all builds):
- 3x Technician: Auxiliary to Battery CD Reduction (required, could be obtained via B’tran Cluster chain for free or via commendation ranks store)
- Energy Weapon Officer: Chance for CRTH (expensive, rare is usually good enough)
- Energy Weapon Officer: Chance for CRTD (expensive, rare is usually good enough)
- Emergency Conn Hologram: CD Reduction for Evasive Maneuvers (phoenix store, just get one!) and/or
- Shield Distribution Officer (Agent Nerul): Attack Pattern Beta restores hull when firing (delta operations pack, 12k zen pack. just use him when you have him) and/or
- Space Warfare Specialist: When activating Eng or Tac Boff Abilities, 20% Chance to get 10% of your outgoing damage as heal for the next 10 hits (if you don’t own Agent Nerul)
- Fabrication Engineer: Increase Duration of Reverse Shield Polarity (Only useful when using Reverse Shield Polarity!)
- Elder Malik’itan (Warfare Master, Gamma Recruit, ground slot): Increase damage vs All (if you have him, slot him!)
- Neal Falconer (Ground Warfare Specialist, Phoenix store, ground slot): Increase damage vs Borg (just get one, it’s not a mistake 😉 )
- Assimilated DOFFs like 20/22/25/27 of 47

- Superior Command Frequency (Command Spec, Discount version if you don’t have anything else to use)
Gear:
Weapon mods as always, CrtD or Dmg, epic mod: CrtD/Dm. Pen is good too if you’re using crafted weapons.
Other gear used: Colony deflector, Competitive Impulse Engine, Discovery Reputation Warp Core and Shield.
Beams:
Full beam boat, Advanced Phaser Arrays, Terran Task Force Array and Trilithium Turret for Mixed Armaments. Adding the Wide Angle DBB from the Discovery Reputation instead of one of the Advanced Arrays could work well too.
Beams and Torpedo:
Quite identical to the beam boat, just with a Darm Matter Torp and the Wide Angle Dual Heavy Beam Bank.
The ship can be used for any faction and profession.
Feel free to comment below or ask us directly via Discord or in-game.
How is Mixed Armaments Synergy triggered on the beam-only (FAW+BO) builds?
Putting the admin feedback in here:
-> Trilithium Omni Beam should be Trilithium Turret
thx guys 🙂
exactly that 🙂
So the advanced beams are ok? I read different things about these, before I spent all my dilli I like to be sure ?
Thx and greetings !
they are the best beams available as far as i know. second best would be spiral wave disruptor, but if you wanna go for phaser, defnitly the advanced ones.
btw you dont need to buy them, you get all the beams you need for free from the ship
Hi phaser indeed, was thinking to make a disruptor build but maybe that would be silly if they are essential the same beam.
yea for phaser the advanced ones are defnitly the best
I just want to mention that you can get the “Advanced Disruptor Beam” from the Dilithuim store. If you have the legendary version at least.
What procs are best not he Disco Shields and Core?
no need to reengineer anything there.
what is the middle eng console and the 2nd sci console?
Weaponized Helical Torsion and Altamid Modified Swarm Processor
“second best would be spiral wave disruptor”…..and i just deleted all of the beam arrays i had in favor of coalition disruptors…..
Is the Lorca console still worth it rather than a 5th spire locator if you’re not using the dark matter torpedo?
usualy yes
what are the best modifiers for the deflector?
colcrit and eps is important, the other 2 are up to you.
What are the consoles being used? I’m a bit out of date.
you should find your answers here:
https://sto.gamepedia.com/Consoles
Would there be any downside to swapping one of the A2Bs for PO1, moving EPTW1 to EPTW2 and then have a free engineering slot for Eng Team / EPTE1?
actually i dont know why there is an eng team and not an epte 1 slottet.. ^^
so replace eng team with epte
I normally do but just wanted to check if also using PO1 was worth it to get the 3.3% extra cat 2 damage from EPTW2 rather than having to use two copies of A2B?
you could do an halfbat too. but it depend a bit on if you’re using cold hearted as example. in that case i would defnitly go with 2 copies of a2b.
Would it maybe be possible for you to add a text about which consoles you use ? I can only recognize some of them from the pictures so trying to use this build is really difficult for me.
check out our how to cannons build, all of them are listed there
Terran Task Force Array versus a 6th advanced phaser array? is there much in the difference?
The TTFA often performs like 1.5x regular beam arrays. I’d always prefer it to a 6th APA.
Is this ship going to come back, I am sick of them releasing limited edition ships/pack at a ridiculous price one time only.
we dont know, but i heard something about the pack being available right now or so. havent checked myself tho, since i own it already 😉
They returned on PC for one weekend on 13 June 2020 to 14 June 2020 to celebrate the announcement of the Legendary Romulan Captain Bundle.
Thanks for the build! Though I’m not sure why you chose not to name the consoles you were using. I’ve spent the better part of an hour trying to track them all down and I still can’t identify the ones you have in universal console slot or the second science console.
In universal consol slot is Console Tactical – Lorca’s Custom Fire Controls from Discovery REP.
2. Science consol is Altamid Modified Swarm Processor from Lobi Store.
Thank you!
What’s the impulse engine on your build pls ?
competitive reputation engine, usualy the tac version (you might prefere the eng version tho)
What are the science and engineering boffs? I assume the tacs are SRO’s. Thank you.
Can you be kind to list the names of all your sci and eng consoles in this build. Thanks in Advance.
Sci: Altamid, Bioneural
Eng: Borg, Trilithium, Weaponized Helical Torsion, Domino, DPRM
Also see our Beam Ships in the Current Century guide.
Thank you so much. Damn after all this time that damn domino still hasn’t popped for me from phoenix box.
More less similar build to mine. Just wandering what benefits is delayed cascade overload does in this build?
At that time it was a quite potent ability. Modern builds do not use Aux2Battery and exploit Unconventional Systems so every science bo station should be filled with control abilities to trigger that trait.
Coming back after a bit of a hiatus. Are there any good examples of modern style builds? I’m assuming they utilize The Boimler Effect Trait for BO Cooldowns with Unconventional Systems for console power cooldowns, but beyond that I’m pretty much in the dark.

With Bonlier Effect (not sure how to spell it) affect the Aux2Batt.
When the trait “The Boimler Effect” is triggered, it affects every other Bridge Officer ability except the one that triggered it. However, it makes no sense to combine A2B with Boimler. If you trigger Boimler correctly, you need little to nothing else to affect the cooldowns.
If that is the case the Aux2Batt is no good due the effect. So then the Aux2Batt powers on this ship would need to be removed same with the 3 technicians
Hi all been away for more then a year ( maybe 2), is this site still up to date? because i read that Hellspawny says that modern builds dont use aux to bat anymore, but yet it is still in all the example builds above?
This is just a question, no bad intentions or complaints
“The Boimler Effect” take the place of Aux2Batt
That is not completely correct. There are now many different, equally valid ways of handling the cooldowns. Aux2Bat is still a fully-fledged option, but there are also other variants such as Half Bat (1x A2B with Doffs + PO1), PO1 with and without IPO, PO1 with Boimler Effect, Boimler Effect only, no active CD reduction at all… It always depends on how it fits into the build and how long the fights last for which you build the build. But the time when only Aux2Bat is used is definitely over 🙂
