Back in the 2250s, the Constitution-Class was built to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and to boldly go where no man has gone before. Of course, also our Klingon and Romulan friends wanted some attention from the Federation. But now we are in the 25th century, Klingons became our friends and other enemies knock on our doors. But is a 160-year-old starship still a threat or only a, admittedly somewhat expensive, nice old pleasure boat?
This little thing is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. It comes with very strong beams and it can equip cannons. We want to give an idea of how to arm this ship for future battles. The KDF variant has the same stats and because Klingons are still a bit shy, it also comes with a Battle Cloak.

Who doesn’t like a good explosion? If explosions are your thing or like me you always bring C4 into a stealth mission then this could be the build for you.
Mines have always been a favourite of mine even going back 10 years when we could only run 2 mines launchers at a time. Over the past year we have seen a number of positive changes to mines so today I am going to take a look at the Vorgon Ytijara Dreadnought Cruiser. While this isn’t the highest DPS Minelayer, it works well over a wide variety of content due to the Vorgon console set bonus boosting mine speed.

Buran with Veteran Skin
The latest additions to STO’s C-Store are the Command Dreadnaught Cruisers, Buran / Cardenas (Fleet Version) for the Federation and Qoj / Fleet Qoi for the KDF. Lacking a LtC tactical Bridge Officer and two hybrid command seats these ships certainly are off-meta. But nonetheless, the Buran is a beautiful ship which is good enough to punch through any mission STO has to offer. The Qoj, on the other hand, looks a bit odd but offers a battle cloak to even it out.

Gagarin class with Delta Rep T6 shield
Cryptics latest additions to the 23rd-century style refits are the Miracle Worker Battlecruisers. Even though they offer nothing we already have seen on other ships, those battlecruisers are quite powerful and provide an almost perfect bridge officer layout for Aux2Battery cannon and beam builds.
Here are some examples to give you an idea about how to arm them for the current meta. Both the Federation and KDF variant have the same stats and layout. Only the visuals are different. The KDF one also has battle cloak!

The Engle class mirror escort carrier is the latest addition to the infinity lockbox. It’s a versatile escort with a decent layout and a great experimental weapon. The starship trait is a pretty good alternative for those of us who have missed last year’s winter event ship or are flying carriers.

If you are able to handle the additional speed boost the trilithium-laced weaponry set gives you, you should change the gamma set turret and console and use this set instead.
Approaching Agony is a very cheap universal console that adds +15% Phaser damage and +1.5% CrtH. Use it instead of an expansive Lobi console. Hostile Aquisition is a cheap alternative to Weapon Sensor Enhancer...
